The earth dog is more troublesome. Chinese astrologers expect a restless world this year. Highly regarded Feng Shui masters such as Raymond Lo predicts even natural disasters, political tensions and a decline in the stock markets in the year of the earth dog.
The dog is regarded as an auspicious animal. It represents loyalty, honesty, and duty. However, it also represents defense and protection. One should, therefore, act wisely and cautiously. Investors should not be too aggressive but instead, make prudent investment decisions.
In the Chinese mythology, the dog is also the symbol of ‘grave of fire’ and ‘gate to hell’ and is therefore related to underground, spiritual and occult matters. This could bring along international tensions and confrontations, religious conflicts and earth disasters this year.

GOOD: To a lesser extent will prosper the fire industries such as telcos, internet, technology, utilities, energy, finance, entertainment.
AVOID: Stiff competition and less prosperity are facing the earth industries (property, mining), metal industries (banking, machinery, cars) and water industries (transport, communication, shipping, casinos).
