While government bond yields in many western developed countries swing around the zero mark or are even negative we can still find some well yielding bonds which come with moderate risk around Asia Pacific. First Quarter Performance of APAC Markets – Visible Trends
While US (1%) and Europe (-9%) are still struggling from a bad start in January, we see some well performing markets across Asia Pacific.

Beware! Monkeys Ahead
This Monday ethnic Chinese around the world will celebrate New Year, the “Year of the Fire Monkey” according to the traditional lunar calendar. Chinese New Year is their biggest celebration with millions of Chinese traveling for family gatherings. Exchanges in mainland China and many shops across Asia will remain closed. Much Ado About Nothing?
Wow, what are month! The press was full of negative statements and gloomy outlooks with comparisons to the financial crisis we have seen in 2007/08. But was this month really that bad? Or is this crisis only made by media? Let’s have a look at the performance across Asia’s market. OK, in case of Shanghai with 23% down we can really talk about a crash.
